Wild Ideas

Like everyone who works around retail these days, I've been thinking a lot about how to shake things up. My conversations with designers, retailers, vendors and other colleagues frequently hit on "what if" scenarios, and a lot of times they're introduced with: "This may sound stupid/crazy/out-of-left-field, but... ." Yet they're always worth listening to, discussing and brainstorming. More often than not, that looney-tunes idea can be shaped into something actionable and worthwhile.

So I'm eager to catch a new session we've just added to the IRDC lineup (Thursday, 3:30-5:00pm) called "Wild Ideas, Concrete Solutions," presented by Lee Silber. Lee's going to help you ferret out the best ideas in your organization -- which can come from anyone in the office -- and develop them into practical solutions fast. Lee has an excellent reputation as an energizing, smart presenter who'll get you thinking, so I knew he'd be a great fit for the IRDC audience. This session will incorporate fun, collaborative exercises that you can bring back home and share with your whole team.
