Jim Sloss has been an architect with Macy’s for 18 years, during which he’s designed 250+ new department stores, including six prototypes. His experience encompasses everything from site development and exterior building design to merchandise planning, interior architecture and fixture design. Prior to Macy’s, he was vp of design for the international architectural firm Hellmuth, Obatta and Kassabaum. In his 10 years at HOK, he developed mixed-use commercial and retail development expertise, with projects spanning the globe.
